Our Trainings

  • You will learn the many factors that impact behavior (including sensory processing, trauma, the environment, the activity, expectations, and personal needs). We will discuss co-regulation, developing self-awareness, and implementing strategies for self-regulation and problem-solving behaviors. Also learn how to optimally engage in therapeutic use of self and co-regulation, as it is the foundation for connecting with a child. This training is 8-10 hours and can be condensed by request and offered in multiple sessions.

  • You will gain a basic understanding of sensory processing and other personal factors that impact our behavior and regulation. You will also learn simple strategies to support connection, regulation, and participation.

  • We will start by discussing various factors that impact regulation. Next we will explain how to use resources as you explore regulation stations, which feature of a variety of tools and strategies for hands-on learning

  • We will explore a framework that examines four key areas we can support, modify, and adapt, allowing for inclusion in our chosen activities. We will discuss as a group different supports and strategies that have worked for ourselves and our children in each of these categories. We will learn to apply this framework when approaching professionals.

  • You will learn a basic understanding of sensory processing, interoception, and regulation. We will provide education on homemade sensory tools, explore sensory tool stations, and make sensory tools.
